Vibe out, chill, spin and dance on a Wednesday

Ellis Flow is a new monthly Wednesday gathering for flow arts, music, movement, and the people who love them.

Every third Wednesday, we’ll turn the house lights down, bring up the colors, put on a shared playlist and open up the floor to spin, practice, dance, experiment and hang out.

Bring your poi, hoops, staffs, fans, flags, silks, levi wands, LED props, or whatever you like to flowwith. If you’re new to flow arts, you’re just as welcome. Come learn from the people around you, try something out, or simply spend the night listening to music and watching it all happen.

THE MUSIC

The music is part of the experiment.

Everyone who buys a ticket will get access to that month’s shared playlist, where you can add tracks you want to hear. Each month’s soundtrack will come from the people actually coming to Flow.

WHAT ARE FLOW ARTS?

Flow arts live somewhere between dance, movement and object manipulation. Think poi spinning, hooping, staffs, silk fans, levi wands, contact props and the countless other things you’ve probably seen glowing and spinning around campgrounds, festivals and dance floors.

You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to bring a prop to come.

Ellis Flow is simply a place to do it together.

MONTHLY AT THE ELLIS

The goal is to give the Hudson Valley flowcommunity a regular place to meet, practice and find each other. As it grows, we hope Flowbecomes a meeting point for the larger electronic music, dance and performance community around The Ellis.
