Join us for an afternoon of heart-opening music, movement, and meditation as Wild Bhakti Society presents a Kirtan, Ecstatic Dance, and Sound Healing Journey led by Josh Kane & Nikki Haas — live at The Ellis, Newburgh’s beautiful converted church and creative venue.
This is not your typical kirtan — it’s a jam band-style devotional experience blending traditional kirtan instruments, acoustic guitar, drumming, and sound healing to create a soulful, upbeat, and deeply immersive atmosphere.
Whether you’re new to mantra meditation or already steeped in devotional practice, this is a space to connect, chant, move, and celebrate in community.

3:00 – 4:00 PM — Arrive + Connect
Come early to set up your space, meet others in the kirtan community, and enjoy a delicious mocktail from the bar. (This is a sober event.)
4:00 – 6:00 PM — Kirtan with Josh & Nikki
Experience an uplifting, high-vibe kirtan session combining live music, mantra, and sound healing. Sing, play, or simply soak in the vibration.
6:00 – 7:00 PM — Ecstatic Dance Journey
Let the rhythms carry you into free-form movement and celebration. Release, express, and embody the joy of devotion through dance!

Josh Kane & Nikki Haas are the co-founders of Wild Bhakti Society, a collective devoted to creating transformative, heart-centered experiences through music, movement, and mantra.
Their kirtans blend traditional devotional chanting with modern sound and improvisational jam band energy — offering an inclusive and ecstatic space for all.

Ecstatic Dance Newburgh at The Ellis
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement experience, where you can move as you wish and let your body move naturally to the rhythm and grooves.
Join us on Saturday, November 1st, 12–3pm, as we transform The Ellis into a sanctuary of sound, flow, and embodied freedom. The journey begins with yoga guided by Ellie Zeitlin and Amy Frances Fraher of Newburgh Yoga Shala. The afternoon continues with a DJ set by Omar Aena accompanied by live drumming. The experience winds down with an immersive sound journey by Jessica Caplan.
Hosted in collaboration with Dance Lab and Newburgh Yoga Shala, Ecstatic Dance Newburgh is a Hudson Valley experience unlike any other — a fusion of conscious movement, live music - sonic and somatic alchemy. This is more than a dance, it is a ritual and a release – a safe space to express yourself and surrender to the body’s natural flow. Freshly made juices will be offered by The Ellis to nourish you throughout the afternoon.
Whether you are stepping onto the floor for the first time or returning as a devoted mover, come to release, awaken, and connect. Let your body remember what words cannot capture, and leave carrying the rhythm in your bones.

Join us Friday, October 25th at 9 PM for the 6th installment of Newburgh's only Halloween art party, Newburgh Nightmare. This event brings together some of the Hudson Valley's most talented individuals for a night of art, philanthropy, food & drink, and of course, music. Featuring live musical performances, a Shibari workshop, psychic intuitve readings, and DJ sets- this event will be like no other this Halloween.
As always, any events produced BlankSpace HV is community driven, and this one is no different. For this event, we are requesting you bring a non perishable canned good to support the Newburgh Community Fridge & Pantry. Come party with a purpose and support your community.

On the decks: David Kiss (House of Yes), Laura Lynn (Disco Chalet), DJ Michael V (Primal Disco), Dirty Work and MORE guiding you through waves of house, disco, and dance-floor magic that shake the walls, the floor, the very air around you.
Everywhere you look, art breathes. Catherine Welshman, Naomi Berkery, Alan Kearin, Some Clowns, and installations turn the space into a living, shifting canvas. Curiosity, surprise, and delight are around every corner.
This is bigger than a party. It’s a moment. It’s a movement. It’s four years of dreams, experiments, and impossible ideas made real. A night to see yourself, your friends, and your city in a new light.

Music & Movement With Elsa
Join us for music & movement taught by Elsa from "Frozen".
Class is taught by a professional performer and is designed to encourage movement & dance through song. Bring a blanket to sit on and stay after class to take photos with Elsa!
Created by NYC moms, Maegan Woodin (professional ballerina) & Sarah Post (professional singer), this class is designed to not only teach and entertain your little one, but also the adults who attend AND we love to sprinkle in a bit of American Sign Language into every class!
You may bring your own props or use the sanitized props we will pass out and clean up during class. Typically we use: shakers/bells, scarves and drums/tambourines (occasionally, we will also use hoops and various other props). Teachers typically arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

Deep Healing Tapping & Sound Journey
Join Mirjam Madhuri Paninski and Vincent Colandrea for an immersive evening of deep restoration and inner alignment. Through the fusion of transformative energy practices and the soothing vibrations of live sound, you’ll be guided into a space where your body, mind, and spirit can harmonize and integrate.
This unique experience is designed to open pathways for profound wellbeing, emotional balance, and a renewed sense of wholeness.
Mirjam will guide you through a powerful Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) session to help release stress, emotional blocks, and stored tension in the body and mind. Using evidence-based tapping methods, you’ll clear energetic patterns and create space for healing, clarity, and emotional ease.
Following the tapping session, immerse yourself in a live sound bath led by Reverb Yogi, carrying you into a meditative state, integrating the emotional release, and anchoring a profound sense of peace.
