‪‪❤︎‬ Folks that lead with care, creating playful consensual moments on the dance floor.

The House Play (by Michael V) ethos:

House was never a trend, it’s here to stay and for us to play.

House is a feeling, a sanctuary, and so is this party.

The music and the vibe is meant for us to feel something

and let those feelings become the fuel for expression and play.

We take care of each other at House Play; house is home and home is where we feel safe.

The music:

House Music with an influential focus.

Feb 20th - Afro, Latin, Funk, and Disco influences.

The artists:

House Play Dj’s collaborate prior to the show to create sonic connective tissue, cohesion, and story, so that you, the dancer, are grounded in the framework as a whole.

The structure of the night:

*There are two peaks to the night; two waves of energy so that early arrivers can feel a rush + climax before 11pm.

Late night folks will absorb that early energy and keep it flowing for the next peak point in the night.

Resonance: Return

Resonance: Return

On 1.11, we invite you into a continuum of resolutions.

Doors open at 1 PM, when the sun crosses the midday sky.

You enter The Ellis, an open, spacious sanctuary.
Winter light pours through stained glass.
Circles. Cycles. Spirals. Fractals.
Breath moves slowly through the body.

We open gently with Yuj guiding a Qi-Gong practice, because the body knows what the mind does not,
and winter asks us to listen first.

Our practice warms up into a moving circle—
a winter ritual shaped through movement and live looping with Iris, El Jeffre and Hiplash.

Hybrid Movement Company inspires us through breath-taking shapes, and our bodies begin to unwind on the dance floor.

Soon, there is soup, and waffles. Local makers. Warmth shared at a long table. The hearth opens for connection, conversation, convergence.

Music follows to gather us and invite our full expression.
A dance journey with SPASIBA, founder of Resonance— weaving a sonic spell to ignite our inner fire.

The kind of rhythm that reminds you that you have feet, and a spine, and time.

As the day tilts toward night, Camila Celin and Ehren Hanson offer a live performance of The Fools Journey.
This is live, ancient music that holds attention the way a river does—patient, exact, alive.

We close with sound that asks nothing more of you.
A gong bath. Early darkness.
The body settling into what it has been given.

This gathering is designed as a single gesture, from first breath to final tone. Nothing rushed.
If winter is our teacher, we are her students.

Resonance Returns on 1.11 —  join us in the breath, the dance, the sound 🕊️

ABOUT THE CREATORS

SPASIBA / Founder of Resonance Gathering

Katya (she/her) is a Post-Soviet Jewish-Ukrainian-Russian artist, facilitator, singer, DJ, entrepreneur, healer, musician, and poet. Katya creates resonant portals where connection thrives. She is the Head of Growth at Akera, a co-founder of Inheritance Project and Rebis, an immersive experience collective. Katya is a resident of Collective BAE - a NYC based impact agency amplifying cross-cultural connection, collaboration, co-creation and wellness for ALL. She is deeply passionate about somatic work and believes that freedom begins in the body. As DJ SPASIBA, her sound reflects her third-culture-kid experiences interweaving jungle beats, European house, deep techno and melodic drive.

IRIS / Co-Producer
Iris is a New York based live loop artist, vocalist, soundscape designer and mythopoetic bard. Combining soulful vocals, production + live looping to create hypnotic, dream-like sound scapes, ranging from mediations to beat centric dance music. Deeply influenced by her time spent in nature, Iris has a diverse background in wilderness skills, sound healing, painting, writing and mysticism; coloring her sets with a confluence of natural textures, world instruments, sounds of space, vocal harmonies and rhythmic prose. She believes music is a force of story telling, of magic, alchemy, togetherness + evolution.

ELJEFFRE
ElJeffre is a multi-versed musician manifesting music, soundscapes, journeys and visions. He shares his artistry both in the wildly expressive NYC nightlife scene as well as in gatherings where the focus is more oriented towards healing and integration. Despite these areas being seemingly opposed, he brings a common energy of ingenuity, artistry and connection to every circumstance - continuously finding that the shadow work at night informs the light work during the day.

HYBRID MOVEMENT COMPANY

Hybrid Movement Company began as a conversation in movement between artists from many backgrounds: contemporary ballet, Contemporary Circus, martial arts, bboying, visual arts, music and animation. We developed  a collaborative method which provides skilled artists with an opportunity to recognize and reframe themselves in each other and in space.

HIPLASH

New York base hula-hoop performance artist for 10 years, blending intuitive flow with music as the anchoring pulse, inspired by the patterns and symmetry of sacred geometry. Grounding into the body for creativity and expression. Hooping is medicine: play, meditation, embodiment, and fluid self-expression. Performing is communion — a ritual of presence, a translation of feeling into form, a portal for creativity, and an alchemy of emotion into art. Let’s collide and create within the power of the circle

Fool's Journey

The Fools Journey is a ritual-performance by Camila Celin and Ehren Hanson that merges tarot, music, and improvisation. Each show is a unique, audience-led experience. Part oracle, part concert, part ceremony—it's a mirror for the moment and a portal to something beyond. It is a collective oracle where the tarot deck guides the show and the audience becomes part of the unfolding story. Drawing from Indian classical music, flamenco, sarod, ambient textures, spoken word, and groove-based improvisation, each performance becomes a living, breathing reading.

YUJ

Yuj is a somatic alchemist and multidisciplinary artist dedicated to creating transformative experiences through sound, movement, and storytelling. Blending music, science, and spirituality, he crafts immersive workshops and performances that guide participants into states of embodiment, authenticity, and transcendence.

Ecstatic Dance Newburgh At The Ellis

Ecstatic Dance Newburgh at The Ellis

Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement experience, where you can move as you wish and let your body move naturally to the rhythm and grooves.

Join us on Saturday, November 1st, 12–3pm, as we transform The Ellis into a sanctuary of sound, flow, and embodied freedom. The journey begins with yoga guided by Ellie Zeitlin and Amy Frances Fraher of Newburgh Yoga Shala. The afternoon continues with a DJ set by Omar Aena accompanied by live drumming. The experience winds down with an immersive sound journey by Jessica Caplan.

Hosted in collaboration with Dance Lab and Newburgh Yoga Shala, Ecstatic Dance Newburgh is a Hudson Valley experience unlike any other — a fusion of conscious movement, live music - sonic and somatic alchemy. This is more than a dance, it is a ritual and a release – a safe space to express yourself and surrender to the body’s natural flow. Freshly made juices will be offered by The Ellis to nourish you throughout the afternoon.

Whether you are stepping onto the floor for the first time or returning as a devoted mover, come to release, awaken, and connect. Let your body remember what words cannot capture, and leave carrying the rhythm in your bones.

The Ellis Grandly Opens

THE ELLIS GRANDLY OPENS · SEPTEMBER 27 · 8 PM

After four years, The Ellis rises. A space made for movement, reflection, and pure exhilaration. A place where music, art, and energy collide to create something Newburgh has never experienced.

On the decks: David Kiss (House of Yes), Laura Lynn (Disco Chalet), DJ Michael V (Primal Disco), Dirty Work and MORE guiding you through waves of house, disco, and dance-floor magic that shake the walls, the floor, the very air around you.

Everywhere you look, art breathes. Catherine Welshman, Naomi Berkery, Alan Kearin, Some Clowns, and installations turn the space into a living, shifting canvas. Curiosity, surprise, and delight are around every corner.

This is bigger than a party. It’s a moment. It’s a movement. It’s four years of dreams, experiments, and impossible ideas made real. A night to see yourself, your friends, and your city in a new light.

The Ellis Grandly Opens. Come move. Come play. Come witness the start of something unforgettable.
