The Ellis Loves: September 2026

The river has its current.

The lake has its stillness.

The mountains have their view.

The gardens have their bloom.

And somewhere,

the sun is setting
on another summer night.

Here,

the stained glass is shining.

Shining so bright
your smile widens.

And while your smile widens,

so does the room.

So does the night.

So does the space
between who you were
when you walked in

and who you are
when you leave.

Maybe that's what happens
when summer starts disappearing.

The light changes.

The nights come sooner.

You look around
and realize

you were somewhere
while it was happening.

You were swimming.

You were climbing.

You were chasing the light.

You were finding something
you didn't know
you were looking for.

The Ellis isn’t a lake.

But you can still get lost in it.

It isn't a mountain.

But something can still move you
to the top.

It isn't the sun.

But there are nights
when you leave glowing.

And maybe,

for a little while,

The Ellis is you.
